Frequently asked questions

What is a standard tip percentage?
Tipping customs vary by country. In the US, 15-20% is standard for table service. In the UK, 10-15% is common. This tool lets you choose any percentage.
How does rounding work?
When you enable 'Round up', the total bill is rounded up to the nearest whole number. 'Round down' rounds it down. The tip amount adjusts to match.
Can I split between more than two people?
Yes. You can split the bill between up to 50 people. Both the per-person total and per-person tip are displayed.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. All tip calculations happen entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or logged.
