How to use Word to PDF

Is my file uploaded to a server?
DOCX files convert entirely in your browser and never leave your device. Legacy .doc files are uploaded to Kordu's document conversion service because browsers cannot parse the old binary Word format directly.

Will my formatting be preserved?
Text, headings, paragraphs, lists, bold, italic, and hyperlinks are preserved. Complex features like tables, columns, headers/footers, tracked changes, and custom styles may not render exactly as in Word.

Can I convert .doc files (old Word format)?
Yes. Legacy .doc files are supported through secure server-side conversion, while .docx files continue to convert locally in your browser.

Are images in my Word file included?
Yes. Embedded images are extracted from the DOCX and included in the PDF output.

Is there a file size limit?
The tool accepts files up to 50 MB. Processing speed depends on document length and complexity.

What page sizes are available?
Choose between A4 (210 × 297 mm) and US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches).

Does the output PDF have watermarks?
No. The converted PDF is completely clean — no watermarks, no branding, no added pages.

Does this work with password-protected Word files?
No. Password-protected DOCX files cannot be read in the browser. Remove the password in Word before converting.

Can I convert multiple Word files at once?
Currently the tool converts one file at a time. Convert each DOCX individually, then use the Merge PDF tool to combine multiple PDFs.
