Frequently asked questions

What is the Pomodoro Technique?
A time management method that alternates focused work sessions (typically 25 minutes) with short breaks (5 minutes). After several work sessions, a longer break is taken. The technique helps maintain concentration and avoid burnout.
Can I change the default durations?
Yes. The work, short break, and long break durations are all adjustable. You can also change how many work sessions occur before a long break.
Does it play a sound when the timer ends?
Yes. An audio beep plays when each phase finishes, provided the audio option is enabled and your browser allows it. You can toggle audio notifications off in the settings.
Is any data sent to a server?
No. The timer runs entirely in your browser. Session counts and settings are held in memory only.
